Pi Network (PI) vs. Cardano (ADA): 3 AIs Predict Which Could Perform Better in Q4
So far, 2026 has been a tough year for Pi Network’s PI and Cardano’s native cryptocurrency, and investors may be wondering when a comeback might come.
We consulted three of the most popular AI-powered chatbots to see whether they expect a recovery in the final quarter of the year and which token is more likely to outperform. Here are the answers.
ADA Has a Better Chance
According to Google’s Gemini, ADA is significantly more likely to outperform PI in Q4, citing several advantages. It said Cardano’s cryptocurrency is integrated into almost every major exchange, has deeper liquidity, carries lower risk, and tends to ride the wave when the overall crypto market moves up. On the other hand, Gemini claimed that “math is against PI,” noting its constant token unlocks that increase selling pressure.
“Whenever users get access to their free tokens, many immediately sell to cash out. This constant stream of selling creates strong downward pressure on price, making sustained upside difficult,” it said.
Perplexity also bet on ADA, saying it has a much larger market capitalization and a near-term catalyst that could spark a price rally. Specifically, the chatbot outlined the planned Dijkstra hard fork. The upgrade is scheduled for December 2026 and aims to substantially increase transaction throughput, which could improve network utility and support renewed demand for ADA. In terms of PI, Gemini expects a further price slump:
“The Q4-specific downside risks for PI are rising transferable supply, thin liquidity, weak demonstrated demand, and the inability to deliver a major listing or liquidity catalyst. If newly unlocked PI continues to enter a market with only a few million dollars of daily trading volume, the token could lose its roughly $0.070 support zone and accelerate toward $0.05.”
The Pi Network Event to Watch
ChatGPT agreed that ADA has the strongest case for sustained performance, but paid special attention to an upcoming event that could trigger substantial volatility for PI.
Namely, the first-ever Pi Ecosystem Summit, scheduled for November 17-19, will include platform updates, developer-tool demonstrations, app showcases, and discussions between devs and the Core Team. According to ChatGPT, PI may benefit from the three-day online event if it is followed by announcements of major ecosystem progress, merchant integrations, or prestigious partnerships. In conclusion, OpenAI’s platform said:
“ADA is the more convincing candidate for sustained Q4 performance; PI is the higher-risk contender for a sudden, catalyst-driven surge.”
